If you choose a SQL statement,
then it is merely a case of writing
the correct statement to retrieve
the necessary values. Note the
use of the AS clause to assign
aliases or user-friendly names to
the data being returned. These
names will also be the names of
the variables that can be used in
subsequent queries.

Once the SQL statement has been
entered, press the Next button.
This will perform a syntax check.
