Integrated Modelling Methodology – Collection of feedback
Please estimate your modeling (coaching) efforts at this stage in terms of hours
spent to perform the task:
Approx. 40h for the creation and iterative improvement of the questionnaire, approx.
3h for the coaching (discussion with KE and DE about the domain to be used for
APOSDLE P3)
Do you think that the outcome produced in this step fulfilled the goals of the step in a
satisfiable manner ? [Please give reasons for your answer]
Yes. I think the domain was already appropriate in P2. Based on the lessons learned
from P2, and based on the results from the questionnaire and the interviews with DE,
a good way was found to improve the definition of the P2 domain for P3.
Please state the main differences (if any) between performing this step this year and
last year:
1.) This year we could rely upon a “preliminary” model (P2)
2.) The questionnaire used for P2 was improved and turned out to be very helpful
3.) The people involved had an idea about how APOSDLE worked, and what
could be possible
For all these reasons I think it was really easier to perform this step for P3 than for
P2.
2. Step 1a: Knowledge elicitation from Digital Resources
The goal of this sub-step is to extract as much knowledge as possible from the digital
resources provided by the Domain Experts. The desired output of Stage 1a is a
number of candidate domain concepts.
I was not involved in this step.
3. Step 1b: Knowledge elicitation from Domain Experts
(Des)
The goal of this sub-step is to elicit knowledge directly from the DEs. The desired
output is a refined task list, and an extensive list of candidate domain concepts.
Feedback:
Please state positive and negative experiences of the IMM for this step in the space
below. Use as much space as you need.
Some questions to keep in mind while providing the feedback:
− Were the objectives clear?
− Were the tools adequate?
− Did the domain experts coincide with the person performing the modeling?
− What where the main difficulties encountered in this stage?
− Were the explanations given clear enough?
