Figure 16-3: Interframe space on bus idle Data Frame Start of frame Arbitration field R D 1 bit • The start of frame (SOF) is denoted by the falling edge of the bus signal. • Reception continues when 'Dominant level' is detected at the sample point. • The bus becomes idle state when 'Recessive level' is detected at a sample point. (2) Arbitration field: Sets priority, specifies data frame or remote frame, and defines the protocol mode.
