Gray out background: When you check this property, the entire contents of the recording frame
except for other objects or callouts are overlaid with a gray filter. This is useful when you want to
give more prominence to the object placed on the frame than to the underlying recording. The effect
lasts from the frame where the object appears to the frame where it disappears.
•
Display to end of recording and Duration: By default, the objects you insert on the recording stay
visible until the end of the recording. If you want to show the object for a shorter time, uncheck this
property and indicate the required amount of time in the Duration field.
You can also set the duration of an object very precisely as follows:
¾ Scroll forward in the recording to the exact frame from which the object should disappear.
¾ Right-click the object and choose End at Current Frame in its local menu.
Now the object is shown from the point at which you dropped it onto the recording, and hidden again
from the frame you just selected.
Copying or moving an object to a different frame
If you have created and customized an object, you can easily re-use it or even move it to a different frame
without recreating it from scratch:
¾ Right-click the object and choose Copy (to re-use it) or Cut (to move it) in its local menu.
¾ Position the recording on the exact frame to which you want to insert the copy of the object.
¾ Right-click the frame and choose Paste in its local menu.
¾ Edit the properties and set the duration of the new object as required.
Deleting an object
¾ To delete an inserted object, locate a frame on which it appears, select it and press Delete on the
keyboard. You can also right-click it and choose Delete in its local menu.
This operation cannot be undone.
