Using Swinging Bucket Rotors
➠
NOTE
These rotors are not used in Avanti J series
centrifuges, except the Avanti J-HC.
SAMPLE RECOVERY
!
CAUTION
If disassembly reveals evidence of leakage, you
should assume that some fluid escaped the
container or rotor. Use appropriate decontamination procedures on the centrifuge, rotor,
and accessories.
1. Remove the rotor lid (if applicable). Remove the buckets or
carriers from the rotor.
2. Remove labware from the buckets or carriers.

J Series Rotors and Tubes
NOTE
Except for the JS-24.38 and JS-24.15 rotors,
you can leave the rotor body or yoke in the
centrifuge between runs unless spillage has
occurred—in which case you should remove
the buckets or carriers and yoke and clean the
centrifuge and rotor components immediately,
according to the instructions in the centrifuge
and rotor instruction manuals. If the rotor is left
in the centrifuge between runs, tighten the
tie-down device before each run. The JS-24.38
and JS-24.15 rotors must be removed from the
centrifuge to install or remove buckets.
