Genie Filter Bracket
INSPECTION
The CP-4900 Micro-GC Genie Filter Bracket will arrive packed in one small box.
Inspect the cartons carefully for damaging or signs of rough handling.
Report damage to the carrier and to your local Varian office.
UNPACKING
Unpack the CP-4900 Micro-GC Genie Filter Bracket and accessories carefully and transfer to the work area using proper handling
techniques. Inspect the CP-4900 Micro-GC Genie Filter Bracket and accessories carefully for damage or signs of rough handling.
Report damage to the carrier and to your local Varian office.

Check the package (CP741527) contents to see if you have received all that you require.

Installation
The Genie Filter Bracket is used to mount a Genie filter 170 or a Valco valve on the CP-4900
Micro-GC.
1.
At the back of the CP-4900 Micro-GC remove the two screws using a Torx-20
screwdriver.
Older instruments are Not backwards compatible. Contact Technical
Support for more details.

Mount the bracket with the two screws (M4x12mm).

Mount the Genie filter 170 using the two screws
(1290116500).
4. For mounting the Valco valve the included flanged M4
nuts and M4x8 mm screws can be used.
Never transport the CP-4900 Micro-GC
with a Valco valve mounted!
INFORMATION
In case of using a Fieldcase for the CP-4900 Micro-GC the Genie filter can be mounted.
Mounting a Valco valve is not possible!
