Pre-printed, numbered tabs are available from the Office Products Centre as a regularly
purchased, non-stocked item.

Pre-printed tabs are cheaper than custom made tabs.

*It is simple to add another chapter, if you hang onto the extra tab dividers from the time of
purchase. (*Please refer to the "Con" with a asterisk for the other side of this point.)

Readers must use the Table of Contents to see which chapter they need.

*Pre-printed tabs are only available in packages of tabs numbered 1-10, 1-20, 1-31, or 1-50,
which means that some dividers will probably be wasted. (*Please refer to the "Pro" with a
asterisk for the other side of this point.)

The pre-printed packages do not contain Glossary or Index tabs.
Special Tabs
You may use a combination of these choices, such as pre-printed number tabs plus custom printed
Glossary, Appendices and Index tabs.
Ordering Production Materials
You will have to purchase all of your production materials through the Office Products Centre, and
should place your order well before you need the items. Stocked items and regularly ordered nonstocked items need a lead time of 2-4 weeks. Special orders, such as silk screened binders or function
key templates, may take longer. Phone one of the Customer Service Officers at the Office Products
Centre ahead of time to discuss your upcoming order. They will give a time estimate based on how busy
the Centre is, and the availability of the materials you need.
Items You May Need

Binders, with Lifters - These will be non-stocked items. If you have chosen to silk screen it will be
a special order. (Refer to the section in this chapter called Binders, Covers and Spines, for more
information.)

Tab Dividers - These will be non-stocked items. If you have chosen colours, or chapter names for
your tabs, it will be a special order. (Refer to the section in this chapter called Divider Tabs for more
information.)

Plastic Protector Sheets - Refer to the section in this chapter called Other Production Tips for more
information.

Heavy, 3-hole Punched Card Stock - These will be non-stocked items. (Refer to the section in this
chapter called Other Production Tips for more information.)

Diskette or CDROM Holder, Plastic, 3-hole Punched - These will be non-stocked items. If you will
be sending diskettes or CDROMs out with your user manual these holders, which can be inserted into
the binders, are quite handy.
