Appendix D: Setup of Computer System for QST-2000/2001
If the user wishes to utilize the QST on a computer other than that provided by ISI the computer must be
configured in the following manner. First, please check section 5.1 System Requirements in this manual to ensure
that the computer the user wishes to run on is equipped with all of the products necessary to run the Quasi97
software. Next, the NiDaq 6.1 software provided with the system must be installed onto the computer. It is
important to use version 6.1 of the NiDaq software, other versions have shown incompatibility with the QST
system. During the installation of the NiDaq software, the user must select Third Party Compilers as shown.
After this, the default settings are acceptable, although the user should verify that Microsoft Visual Basic is
selected.
