Calibration 3 Step 6. Calculate the shunt current (I=V/R) and enter the data. Front Panel: Select the Measured Data field. Enter the data from the external DMM. Press Select when done. Press Next to finish calibration. SCPI Command: CAL:DATA <data> Low Range Current Measurement Step 1. Connect only the current measurement terminals of the Agilent 3458A to the output terminals (see Cal Setup D without the resistor). Step 2. Select the low current measurement range. The value to program a range must be the maximum current of the range. This example selects the 0.15 A range of output 1. Front Panel: Select System\Admin\Cal\Curr\Imeas Then select the Low1 range. SCPI Command: CAL:CURR:MEAS 0.15, (@1) Step 3. Select the first current calibration point. Front Panel: Select Next. The ammeter should be connected. Select Next. The information field should indicate: “Enter measured current” SCPI Command: CAL:LEV P1 *OPC? Step 4. Measure the current with the Agilent 3458A and enter the value. Front Panel: Select the Measured Data field. Enter the data from the external DMM. Press Select when done. Press Next to finish calibration. SCPI Command: CAL:DATA <data> *OPC? Negative Current Limit Calibration Step 1. Connect the Agilent 3458A, current shunt, and a power supply to the output (See Cal Setup G). Connect plus to plus, minus to minus. Set the external power supply to 3V, 3A. Step 2. Select the negative-current range. The value to select the range must be negative and the maximum current of the range. Front Panel: Select System\Admin\Cal\Curr\Ilim. Series N6700 Service Guide SCPI Command: CAL:CURR:LIM:NEG -2, (@1) 77
