2) To add a PX5/4400 Site, select the appropriate connection type between the
PX5/4400 and the computer, i.e. Direct (RS232). See Appendix A for a
detailed discussion of the PX5/4400 – NodeLink connection setup using
RS232 serial port or network adapter.
Result: The following screen will appear.
In order to successfully establish connection with the PX5 or 4400, make sure
that the COM port you select is the one being used for RS232 serial port
connection. Also, the Baud Rate must match the one specified under the
Communications setup in PX5 or 4400. Refer to Chapter 4 Instrument Settings
- Communications on page 4-10 of the PowerXplorer PX5 User's Guide (P/N
UG-PX5) or PowerGuide 4400 User's Guide (P/N UG-4400).
3) Under Serial Port, select the COM port to use in your computer to
communicate with the PX5 or 4400. Then set the connection speed under
Baud Rate. Click Next to continue.
Result: The following screen will appear.
