File Menu 5.22.4 WinIQSIM Save for Add Under this menu item, the current I/Q signal can be stored in an internal format for superposition onto a signal later on. A selection window is opened where a file with the extension *.ibn can be specified for storing the I/Q signal. However, a few considerations have to be made before the signals is stored. • What signal should the stored file be added to? • What will the sampling rate ratio be like? (The sampling rate of the stored signal must not exceed that of the signal to which it should be added.) • What about the ratio of signal periods? To obtain useful results after the addition, the signal to be added should have the same length. Other aspects of this subject are given in section 5.16.3, which describes signal addition. 5.22.5 Show Report Under this menu item a report page is generated showing the current graph, the main signal parameters and all active components of the block diagram. This page can then be printed and used for documentation. On selection of this menu item, the Print Preview panel is displayed which has already been described in connection with the Print Graphics menu (section 5.20.4). In this panel the background colour and the colour of your graphs can be chosen (see section 5.20.4). When the selection is completed, the WinIQSIM Report panel is displayed. The panel comprises a Configuration window, a Block Diagram and a Graphics display window. Fig. 5-93 Report panel 1013.1642.02 5-102 E-12
