Typical Programming to Repeat Command File Delay Time (*) Command The Delay Time (*) command is used to enter a time delay within a command file. After a * command is executed, the system waits the amount of time specified by the * command before executing the next command in the file. Command: *tt:tt:tt where: tt:tt:tt = time in hours:minutes:seconds (24-hour clock) For example, Figure 4-5 shows a command file that displays intermachine link status for the Interlink Module in slot 11 every 15 seconds. NOTE: The Delay Time command is a special supervisory port command that can only be entered as an instruction within a command file. Typical Use of Delay Time Command Terminal Control and Banner (&) Command The & command is used to enter terminal screen control characters and text into a line of a command file.
