Delete system files from MultiMediaCard™
Files that your phone requires are stored on
the MultiMediaCard™in addition to your
own data, such as music. System files that
are not required (such as other languages)
can be deleted to increase capacity. Note
that this is likely to reduce the functions
that the phone can perform.
If you need to restore any files to the MultiMediaCard™ they are available for downloading from the Internet at
www.my-siemens.com/sl45i (see p. 77).
Load bitmaps
Load bitmaps from the Internet
You can find bitmaps for your phone
at:
www.my-siemens.com/city
From there, you can load more than
1000 bitmaps, logos and Java applications directly onto your phone.
In the City Portal, you will find a list
of the countries in which you can order bitmaps.
Receive bitmaps via SMS
As soon as a bitmap is received on
your phone via SMS, you will see
the message “Receiving...” on your
phone’s display.
The message “Data receive complete” indicates that the bitmap has
been saved to the MultiMediaCard™ in the Bitmap directory.
The Load bitmap option in the CardExplorer menu allows you to load
the bitmap into the display.
