User Manual Advanced Operation Table 4-6: PARAMETER LSD-TimeOut (Cont’d) Encoder Specific features Configuration Parameters DESCRIPTION AND VALID OPTIONS Important: 1. This mode requires that the IRD will be set to: DATA2-LSD PID filtering=TRANSPORT PAYLOAD 2. The Encoder sets an additional bandwidth to the LS data allocated bandwidth. (reducing the BW allocated for video). This additional BW is calculated as [150/TimeOut( )TimeOut expressed at 0.01 Sec units, Additional BW expressed at Kbits/second]. CAUTION: Be careful when setting this item to a low value (the additional BW is 50Kbit/sec at LSD-TimeOut=3). LSD-EOF-Char Activates the EOF mode of the LS data port. If the value is higher than 255, this mode is disabled. Any value lowers than 255 enables this mode. The value is the decimal ASCII value of the EOF character. Valid Options: 0 thru 255 Example: to specify Control-D, use the value 4 This mode flushes out any pending data if the EOF character is detected at the input stream. Important: 1. This mode requires that the IRD will be set to: DATA2-LSD PID filtering=TRANSPORT PAYLOAD 2. The Encoder sets an additional bandwidth to the data with a default value of 100 mSec (reducing the BW allocated for video). This additional BW is calculated as [150/TimeOut( )TimeOut expressed at 0.01 Sec units, additional BW expressed at Kbits/second]. 3. If the LSD-Timeout is not 0, it is taken as the timeout for extra BW calculations. PPCR_interval Determines the PCR interval in mSec. Valid Range: 2 - 100 Page 4-54 (Rev 1.0 / March 2004)
