User Manual Overview 1.4.5.1. Standard Audio-1 and Audio-2 Interface The standard Audio-1 and Audio-2 Musicam Encoding Interface consist of four XLR connectors, which are used to receive the audio data for Channel 1 and Channel 2, respectively for the Musicam Encoding circuits. • Analog audio, which requires two connectors for the each analog stereo channel. • Digital AES/BEU audio, which uses the right XLR connector of the analog channel pair. 1.4.5.2. Optional Audio-3 and Audio-4 Interface The optional Audio-3 and Audio-4 Interface consist of an Musicam encoding expansion interface card installed inside the encoder and connected by a 25-pin D-type connector on the rear panel. A deployment cable adaptor, with a 25-pin D-type connector on one side and four XLR connectors on the other side, provides the connections for the Audio-3 and Audio-4 inputs. Each pair of XLR connectors provides analog stereo input or digital AES/BEU input, similar to the Audio-1 and Audio-2 connectors. 1.4.5.3.
