Application Example: Bouncing off of a limit switch When using a pulse type switch with the HM command, the motor will always begin motion in the same direction, irrespective of the position of the motor. One method for using a pulse type or momentary home switch is to implement a routine to "bounce off" of the limit switches. In this method, the motor is commanded to HOME. If the motor is on the 'wrong' side of the home switch, the motor will eventually hit the limit switch. If this happens, the controller will move the motor to the other side of the home switch and re-issue the HOME command.
