• No "charging in progress" message

If this type of message never appears:

Press simultaneously the "∗" and "H" keys.

Using the direction keys, move the cursor (inverse video)
to "Power" and then press ↵. The screen should read:
Advanced power management (APM) Yes

Using the direction keys, select "No" and then press ↵.
The screen should read:
Advanced power management (APM) disabled
Another way of disabling the APM is to remove the battery from the
palmtop and then to connect a powered Scorpio receiver. The
message "charging in progress" will then appear. Then you just have
to put the battery back into the palmtop.
