CHAPTER 35: DSP Menu: Pitch Shift, Formant Shift, Time Scale, and Adjust Audio Tempo
햸 Click OK.
Unless you disabled its display in the
DSP Preferences dialog (discussed on
page 423), Vision opens a Save As
dialog box.
햻 Type a name for the tempo-adjusted
audio file.
By default, Vision suggests a name
based on the auto-naming options you
specify in the DSP Preferences dialog
(discussed on page 423).
햽 Click Save.
Vision creates a new audio file (or files)
for the tempo-adjusted audio. It creates
one or more new audio events to play
that audio, replacing the original audio
event(s) in your sequence.
Figure 37.9: Save As Dialog for Adjust Audio
Tempo
When you adjust audio tempo, Vision
constructs one or more new audio files
(depending on the file saving option you
select in the DSP Preferences dialog
box, discussed on page 423). It leaves
your original audio file (or files)
unaffected.
NOTE: If you never want to see this
Save As dialog box again (that is, you
always accept the default name and folder),
click the Bypass this dialog next time
option in the Save As dialog box.
Should you wish to make the Save As dialog
re-appear, choose DSP>DSP Preferences, select “Adjust Audio Tempo” from
its Apply to pop-up menu, then uncheck
the Bypass Save As Dialog option.
햹 Use the File Format pop-up menu to
specify the desired file format (AIFF
or Sound Designer II).
햺 Navigate to the folder in which you
want to save the file.
By default, Vision selects the folder you
specify in the DSP Preferences dialog
(discussed on page 423).
