Attachment Type (ATTACHTYP) Specifies the extension name for the spooled or text file attachment. You can specify any 3 or 4 character extension for your file. The default extension is TXT for a text file attachment conversion. You can also send your spooled files in PDF format. icom/400 will convert the format of the spooled file to a PDF format when specifying PDF as your extension name. Note: PDF will only work with spooled files. There are some other extensions that will also work as an attachment to an email using this parameter, such as: DOC, XLS and CSV. Send type (TYPE) Specify whether the message is to be sent to a single recipient or a group of recipients. *RCP: The message is to be sent to a recipient or all recipients, depending on the value specified in the Name prompt. *GRP: The message is to be sent to a group or all recipient groups, depending on the value specified in the Name prompt. Email address (EMAIL) Specifies the e-mail address to which you want to send this message. *NONE: You are using a recipient name on the Name prompt that has an *EMAIL delivery type. email-address: Specify the address of the person(s) to whom you are sending the message. Return e-mail address (RTNEMAIL) Specifies an e-mail address to which error and reply messages are sent. *ICMDFT: The value for the return e-mail is found in the icom/400 defaults. e-mail-address: Specify the return e-mail address. Retain spooled file data (RTNSPLDTA) Specify whether to retain spooled file data when attaching a spooled file to an email. This will enable resending messages for spooled files that no longer exist in the system. The spooled file data will be removed when the last activity entry associated with the spooled file has been removed. *ICMDFT: ICOM/400 default is used. This value is found in the Change System Attributes screen. *NO: Do not retain spooled file data when attaching the spooled file. *YES: Retain the spooled file data when attaching the spooled file. Embed email message (EMBED) This specifies if you want to send the file as an attachment or embed the message in to the body of the email. *NO: You want to send the file as an attachment. *YES: You want to embed the file in the body of the message. icom/400 User Manual- 183
